To cook pasta with chicken in sauce, you will need the following ingredients:

– 250 g of pasta (for example, spaghetti, penne or fusilli)
– 300 g of chicken fillet
– 1 large onion
– 2 cloves of garlic
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
– 1 teaspoon of dried basil
– salt and pepper to taste
– herbs to serve (optional)

The cooking process:

Boil the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, following the instructions on the package. Then drain the water and leave the pasta in the pan.
Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces and fry in olive oil over medium heat until golden brown. Then add the chopped onion and chopped garlic, fry for another 5-7 minutes, stirring.
Add tomato paste, dried basil, salt and pepper, stir and fry for a couple more minutes.

Then pour in a little water or chicken broth (about 150-200 ml), bring to a boil and simmer under the lid on low heat for about 10 minutes, until the chicken becomes soft.

Mix the pasta with the finished chicken sauce, mix gently so that the sauce is evenly distributed. Serve the dish hot, garnish with herbs if desired.
